Women Cell of ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Umiam observes Swachh Bharat Abhiyan
The Women Cell of ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Umiam observed Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (15th September, 2018 to 2nd October, 2018) by organizing cleanliness drive and competition programme on 29th September, 2018 and 1st October, 2018 respectively. On 29th September, 2018 the committee members of the Women Cell along with the workers allotted from Estate Cell of the Institute, organized a cleanliness drive in the premises of the administrative building. Renovations were undertaken by planting new flowers and foliage plants, repotting old plants and placing decorative potted plants in and around the building. On 1st October, 2018 poster making and extempore speech competitions were organized for the women employees of the Institute (Scientists, Technical personnel, Administrative staff, skilled supporting staff, TSM, RA/SRF/JRF, Young professional, Field assistants & Contractual staff) on themes and topics related to Swachh Bharat. Active participation was witnessed in all the activities.
