ICAR Participates in India Water Week-2015

ICAR participated in the “India Water Week 2015” being organized at New Delhi (13 - 17 January, 2015).ICAR pavilion showcased relevant technologies which were appreciated by senior officials of various government organizations, industries, leading scientists and other stakeholders. Efficient and sustainable use of water in agriculture was the core thematic area of the ICAR Pavilion and latest water saving and efficient water use technologies were displayed and exhibited through posters and videos.

   

The exhibition was inaugurated by Smt. Uma Bharti, Union Minister of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation who visited ICAR Pavilion and took keen interest in displays. Dr. Alok K Sikka, DDG (NRM) welcomed the Minister and briefed about the various technologies in the field of agricultural water management to enhance water productivity.

The event was organized by Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation (MoWRRR &GR), Government of India at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

The Pavilion was conceptualise and coordinated by ICAR-Directorate of Knowledge Management in Agriculture (DKMA) and facilitated by Natural Resource Management Division of ICAR.
