One day Swachhta Campaign collaboration with National Service Scheme at Tafraliang “Doubling Farmers Income Village”
BASAR, September, 5:
KVK West Siang successfully conducted a training programme on Preparation of blended passion fruit and pineapple juice under Home Science section on 5th September, 2015 at ICAR Training Hall Basar. All together ten farmers’ women of nearby villages of Basar participated at the training. At the inaugural session Dr. R. Bhagawati, JD explained about the important to processing and value addition of seasonal fruit a commercial way. At technical session Smt. Bharti Saloi, Sr. Tech. officer- Home Science demonstrated the techniques of making blended passion fruit and pineapple juice. Technical session was assisted by Theja Agami, Rita Nongthombam, Dr. Kangabam Suraj, Debasis Datta and Sikimoni. At the concluding session a farmer’s scientist interaction was held where all the KVK Scientist including i/c PC. Dr. M. S. Baruah interacted with the farm women group. At the end of the day, village women SHG were very much satisfied and appreciated the KVK and ICAR-AP Centre, Basar for working hard for the farmers of Arunachal Pradesh. Participants promised the organizer that they will try their level best to implement the appropriate technologies which were taught in the training in the training which is sustainable for them.
