Training Programme on protected cultivation of vegetable crops.
Get maximum return from the land a one day training programme titled on “Protected cultivation of vegetable crops was conducted by Mrs. Deepa Lal (SMS Horti.), KVK West Siang on 31th May’2016 at Bam village. It has been observed that farmers of district West Siang generally grow different types of crops but lack the technologies as to how to get maximum benefits from growing off season vegetables and how to protect their vegetable crops from adverse climatic condition. In order to create awareness and train the farmers to get maximum return from the land. The training programme has been proposed to create awareness of getting maximum output through growing off season vegetable during off season under polyhouse condition and designed the construction of low cost polyhouse, which can be made by locally available materials like bamboos. Cultivation of off season vegetables under poly house condition can meet the market demand as well as getting higher income by farming community.
