“Scientific Poultry Rearing”
The Poultry Science section, Division of Livestock Production organized a three days training on “Scientific Poultry Rearing” to farmers from Tyrso-Pdeng village from 27th to 29th January 2016 under Tribal Sub Plan (TSP). Total eleven farmers participated for three days. During the training period, various experts/resource persons gave lectures and practical demonstrations on poultry farming with topic ranges from ways of scientific housing and feeding of poultry, awareness regarding poultry diseases and rational use of antimicorbials. Besides the benefits of integrated farming system in poultry production and scope of rearing alternative poultry species were also discussed. Each trainee was given 30 no of improved varieties of chicks to start poultry farming.
