KVK West Siang Conducts Monitoring and Diagnostic Visit
Field visit was conducted by a team comprised by Rita Nongthombam (SMS-PB), Dr. Kangabam Suraj Singh (SMS-PP) and technical Officer, Pashel Rolling Anal (Agromet) at Gori II village on 26th May, 2015. The team visited farmers growing cowpea and other vegetable crops. Diseases such as Maydis leaf blight and stem borer in Maize, Epilachna beetle were found on bitter gourd, Cucumber and bottle gourd leaf. In cowpeaAphid and cowpea leaf blight were found. The concerned SMS advised the use of proper management of above diseases. He, recommended integrated disease and pest management and used of the recommended dose of chemicals with necessary precaution measures while handling and spraying of insecticides and fungicides
