Skill Development Training Programme at KVK Ri Bhoi

A group of 27 qualified rural youths trained under Agricultural Skill Council of India (ASCI) on Qualification Packs “Floriculturist-Protected Cultivation” and “Mushroom Grower-Small Entrepreneur”  after the assessment by third party at KVK Ri-Bhoi. A certificate distribution programme was organized by ICAR-KVK Ri-Bhoi on 2nd August, 2017 in which Dr. S.V. Ngachan, Director, ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Umiam, Meghalaya has emphasised to undertake more such programme for skill upgradation of the youths for self-employment and entrepreneurship development. He interacted with the successful trainees cum entrepreneur for utilization of skills attained during the training programme which definitely benefit the farming community  and act as rural resource person. Dr. Arnab Sen, Principal Scientist & Head Animal Health and Nodal Officer KVKs congratulated the trainees and opined that the such training shall be helpful in attaining the goal of double income of farmers by 2022 as envisaged by the honourable Prime Minister.
