Cleanliness drive under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Organized by the Division of crop Production on 31st January, 2015
As per the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan of the Govt. of India a cleanliness program was conducted by the Division of Crop Production in its office and farms building premises. All Research laboratories of the division were cleaned properly by removing the dust and dirt in the working areas and by discarding old solutions and reagents present in the laboratories by all research staff of the laboratories. Even store house of chemicals is checked and chemicals arranged for easy usage and quick pick up of chemicals for day to day using the laboratories. The corridors of the division are sweeped with soap solutions for proper tidiness and aesthetic value. Wall posters about the cleanliness were displayed in the corridor of the division for clear understanding and awareness among all research staffs of the Division about requirement of hygiene in the office and laboratory premises.
Labs and office premises being cleaned
All experimental farms of the Divisions were properly cleaned by the field staff, technical and research staffs of the Division. The unwanted garbage removed and waste materials collected and properly dumped in a recognized area of waste in the farm. The store of the farm was cleaned and materials organized and stacked for easy usage. The members of the Division were apprised about the cleanliness drive of Swacch Bharat Abhiyan and senior scientists emphasized about maintaining the hygiene in farm premises. The programe ended with sharing of light snacks among the staffs of the Division. The division intends to conduct similar programs at least once in every month by the Division. Overall the cleanliness drive was a grand success.
