ICAR - KVK West Siang conducted Technology Demonstration under ATMA

A day long Technology Demonstration of Pruning Technique in Orange orchards was conducted on 13th January, 2017 by KVK West Siang, ICAR A.P-Centre, Basar at Bam village of West Siang District under ATMA for selected orange growing progressive farmers. All together 15 participants including 8 female, 7 male farmers participated in the said programme. Dr. Deepa Lal, Subject Matter Specialist (SMS, Horticulture) briefly explained about importance of pruning in orange, how to prune and problems associated with unproductive old orange tree. She highlighted how to increasing farm productivity along with good quality fruits through unproductive orange tree. After that technical session was concluded with a field demonstration of pruning of orange plant at the farmer field of Shr. Karken Bam. The programme was concluded successfully and farmers appreciated the effort of KVK West Siang and ATMA.
