Programme on Disease management of Livestock under NICRA
ICAR- KVK, Tura, West Garo Hills organized one training programme on “Disease management and health care of livestock” at Marapara village under NICRA on 8th Sept 2015. A total of 31 nos farmers participated in the training programme.
The training was done to make the farmers aware about the different disease control measures in livestock specially deworming and vaccination. One vaccination cum health camp was also conducted on 10th Sept 2015 to vaccinate the animals in the village under NICRA. A total of 148 nos cattle and 16 goats were vaccinated against FMD and 14nos pigs were vaccinated against swine fever covering three villages: Marapara, Sannengre and Rongbokgre. Medicines were also distributed among the villagers.
