KVK West Siang conducted Farmers Training Programme under Plant Protection
Dr. Kangabam Suraj Singh, SMS (Plant Protection) explained about “Integrated Disease and Pest Management in Citrus” in a day long training programme on 21st June, 2016 at Gori-III village. He mentioned various method of diseases and pests management through cultural, mechanical, biological and chemical methods. He also highlighted use of pheromone trap, light trap and yellow trap for monitoring and minimizing the pest population and proper management approach in time. This training programme was appreciated by the farmers who informed that in this region every year citrus tree is being damaged by many diseases and pests and 32 participants from the village covering rural youth, farm women and progressive farmers get benefitted.
