Training Programme on Promotion of Mandarin Based Land Use Option to Convert Secondary Forest Fallows at Buhchangphai Village
ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region Mizoram Centre organized training programme on “Promotion of mandarin based land use option to convert secondary forest fallows” under Tribal Sub Plan (TSP), organized at Buhchangphai village, Kolasib district on 28th March, 2018. Altogether 75 farmers from Buhchangphai village participated in the training programme. Dr. Saurav Saha, Scientist (Agril. Physics), Pu. P.C, Lalchawnkima (Secretary, Phaipheng Farmers Association), Mr. Samik Chowdhury (Technical Officer, GKMS), attended the programme. Pu P. C. Lalchawnkima greeted the gathering with a warm welcome note. Dr. Saurav saha elaborate the importance of mandarin based cropping system and also demonstrate importance of citrus special for growth and development. Finally, Mr. Samik Chowdhury gave formal vote of thanks at the end of the session. After lunch, technical steps to citrus special preparation were demonstrated by Dr. Saurav Saha, Mr. P. Lalhmachhuana and Mr. Samik Chowdhury.
