KVK Ri-Bhoi’s Live Webcast Programme of Honorable Prime Minister’s Interaction with the Farmers
The KVK Ri-Bhoi, ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Umiam, Meghalaya has organized a farmers’ programme for viewing of live webcasting of Honorable Prime Minister of India’s interaction with the farmers of various KVKs on 20th June, 2018.
The programme was chaired by the Director, ICAR NEH, Umiam, Meghalaya. On this occasion, 30 dignitaries including various head of the departments, senior scientists and scientists of the institute along with staff of KVK Ri Bhoi were present to view the live webcast.
A group of 55 farmers from Ri Bhoi district, including 45 farm women, were also present. The farmers present were overwhelmed by the interaction of the Prime Minister. They were motivated to adopt the modern farming techniques supported with benefits of soil health cards and other schemes like PMFBY, IFS, Organic Farming, etc to achieve double income by 2022.
