KVK West Siang conducted training programme at New Bam under Horticulture
KVK West Siang successfully conducted one day farmers training Programme at New Bam Village on 17th June, 2016 titled on “High Density Planting in Banana”. It has been observed that under West Siang condition farmers grow banana plants in normal spacing and do extra labour to maintain it due to maximum distance between plant to plant and row to row in hilly condition. Mrs. Deepa Lal (SMS Horticulture) explained about how to get maximum yield from growing banana plant in small unit area under hilly condition by using HDP and also describe the how to grow best quality fruits under West Siang condition through High Density Planting (HDP). This training programme was appreciated by the farmers who get knowledge about how to increase productivity of banana plants and how they grow banana plant under less spacing under West Siang condition.
