Monitoring of farmers’ field and seed production programme
A team comprised of Shri A. Kirankumar Singh, i/c Programme Coordinator, KVK West Siang and Shri Thejangulie Angami, Scientist (Horticulture) visited the different farmers’ field at Nyodu for adopting the village under AICRP on Tuber Crops, Nyigam and Chirne under Seed production programme on Rapeseed/Mustard. During the visit the team visited the fields of ShriMigo Basar, Shri Nyayi Basar, Smt Ipu Basar, Shri Migam Basar, Shri Joba Basar, Shri Mimar Basar, Shri Inya Basar, Shri Margo Basar and Smt Kensum Basar of Nyigam village and Shri Peken Basar and Shri Kriya Basar at Chirne village. The farmers are growing potato, mustard, radish, pea, etc. The team observed the problem of early blight in potato in which the uncertified varieties are grown and the control measures were advocated.
