Monitoring and Diagnostic Visit By KVK West Siang at Basar
Basar, the 7th Feb., 2015. A team from KVK West Siang comprising of Shri A. Kirankumar Singh, i/c Programme Coordinator, Smt Rita Nongthombam, SMS (PBG), Dr K. Suraj Singh, SMS (Plant Protection) and Shri Debasis Dutt, SMS (Social Sciences) conducted a monitoring cum diagnostic visit to Shri Gemar Bagra’s field at Higi Bagra, Shri Imin Bagra, Shri Bayi Bagra (Sr) and Shri Poken Bagra’s field at Takpu Bagra, Shri Marto Karcho’s field at Doji and Shri Kenge Doji and Shri Token Doji’s field at Doji Jelly villages on 6th Feb.,2015. During the visit, the team monitored the fields of toria, pea, rajmash, turmeric, banana and citrus orchards. The team diagnosed the problem of moisture stress in toria and rajmash’s fields where the crops are in flowering and pod formation stage. Later on, the team visited the banana garden where the plants are suffering from Bunchy top and banana pseudo stem weevil for which the control measures have been advocated by the concerned specialist. Further, the team diagnosed the citrus orchard where the plants have been infested by trunk borer for which the prophylactic measures have been advocated accordingly.
