KVK, West Siang Conduct Training on Management of Self-Help Groups
Basar, June 16:
The one day training programme on ‘’Role of SHGs in Livelihood Improvement of Farmers in Arunachal Pradesh’’ organized by KVK, West Siang at Trainee’s hostel of ICAR, AP Centre, Basar on 15th June ‘2015. During the valedictory function, while addressing the different women self-help groups Dr. R. Alone, Scientist (Agroforestry), i/c JD of ICAR, AP Centre highlighted the importance of SHGs in empower of women and increase the income generation.
Altogether, 32 trainees from 4 different SHGs of Basar participated in the training. Mr. Debashis Datta, SMS (Agril. Extension) was the training coordinator. There was a practical session for maintaining accounts of SHGs and educate the women to manage their own Self-Help Group for increasing income as well as livelihood improvement.
