Conducted one day training programme on Bee keeping at ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region organized by group XII of Mera Gaon Mera Gaurav
An exposure cum training programme on Bee Keeping had been organized by group XII of Mera Gaon Mera Gaurav, ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Umiam, Meghalaya, led by Dr. Premila Devi Thongbam on 10th March, 2016 at the field of Entomology. 26 trainees from the adopted villages Umden Mission (Ribhoi), Umden Arka (Ribhoi), Madan Mawkhar (East Khashi Hills), Umrynjah (East Khashi Hills) and Umphrew (East Khashi Hills) participated. Dr. Rachna Pander, scientist of the institute served as trainer explaining the detail procedure and techniques in bee keeping. The trainees showed kin interest to practice bee keeping in their respective villages and they requested for immediate implementation in the villages. At the end Dr. K. P. Mohapatra, Dr. K Puro and Mr. N. Uttam Singh of the group along with the expert, Dr. Rachana Pande had one hour interaction with the farmers for the immediate implementation of bee keeping in the villages.
