Input distribution programme organized by group XII of Mera Gaon Mera Gaurav, ICAR NEH Region Umiam
Various inputs including vegetable seeds, farm machineries had been distributed to the farmers of the adopted villages Umden Mission (Ribhoi), Umden Arka (Ribhoi), Madan Mawkhar (East Khashi Hills), Umrynjah (East Khashi Hills) and Umphrew (East Khashi Hills). The peogramme was organized by group XII of Mera Gaon Mera Gaurav of ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Umiam, Meghalaya on 29th March, 2016 at Dorbar Hall of Umrinjah village. Mr. N. Uttam Singh Made an awareness lecture on Importance of Agriculture Marketing while Dr. K Puro delivered a lecture on Sustainable and Healthy Livestock Production. One Hundred farmers attended the programme. At the end Dr. K. Puro, senior scientist, (Animal Health) and and Mr. N. Uttam singh, scientist (Agricultural Statistics) made an interactive session with the farmers inviting their queries related to agriculture.
