KVK Anjaw conducted Training on Vermicompost
A day long training on ‘vermicompost- A source for organic farming’ was conducted by KVK Anjaw at Tafraliang village on 16th October 2015. All together 37 farmers including farm women and rural youths attended the training programme.
Khoisnam Naveen, Subject Matter Specialist (SMS, Agronomy) was the coordinator of the training programme. He spoke in depth about vermicomposting methods along with its benefits. He also highlighted the importance of Vermicompost in maintaining soil fertility for future cultivation. Later he spoke about the usefulness of vermiwash in crop production. The programme was attended by Soibam Peter(SMS, Social Sciences), Senpon Ngomle (SMS, Plant Protection), Rebecca Eko (SMS, Horticulture), also attended the training programme .The programme was concluded with distribution of Vermicompost to the farmers.
