ICAR celebrates “Sankalp Se Siddhi”
The progrmmme on “Sankalp Se Siddhi” and farmers’ awareness cum orientation programme was organized today (30th August 2017) by ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, and ICAR ATARI Umiam. The Chief Guest was Shri Parshottam Rupala Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare and Special Guest for the occasion was Shri Rajen Gohain Minister of State for Railways and the Welfare and Panchayati Raj. Speaking on the occasion Shri Parshottam Rupala said that “Quit India Movement” was initiated as the freedom struggle similarly it should be our “sanklap” to have a better India by 2022. He further added that the limitations are many and we should overcome the limitation and face the challenges. Addressing the gathering Shri Rajen Gohain stated that the mission of the government is to double the farmers’ income and focus on the flagship programmes of the government. The programme witnessed a showcase of inspirational films and distribution of power tillers to group of farmers.
