ICAR and KVK West Siang Participated The North East Agri Fair, 2014

The KVK West Siang and ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Arunachal Pradesh Centre, Basar participated the North East Agri Fair on “Enhancement of Horticulture in the NE Region for Nutritional Security and Prosperity held from 13th-16th November,2014 at the College of Horticulture and Forestry, Pasighat organised by Central Agricultural University, Imphal, Manipur. A team comprised of Shri A. Kirankumar Singh, i/c Programme Coordinator, KVK West Siang, Basar, Dr Doni Jini, Scientist (Vety. Extension); Shri Thejanguli Angami, Scientist (Horticulture), Shri Nirmal, Scientist (Agroforestry), Shri Takar Ronya, Tecnician (T-4), Shri Prashant Mahanta, Senior Research Fellow of ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, A. P. Centre, Basar participated the fair. In the inaugural function on 13th Nov.,2014 Shri Chowna Mein, Hon’ble Minister of Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh graced the function as Chief Guest, Padma Bhushan Dr R. S. Paroda, Former Secretary (DARE), Govt. of India & Director General, ICAR as the Guest of Honour. After the inaugural function Dr. R. S. Paroda visited the exhibition stall and interacted with the team members of the exhibition party. On 14th Nov.,2014, Dr G. Kaloo, Former DDG (Hort), ICAR New Delhi and Vice Chancellor, JNKVV, Jabalpur chaired the function and visited the exhibition stalls and interacted with the participants. On the closing function day, the 16th Nov.,2014 Dr. Mangala Rai, Former Secretary (DARE), Govt. of India and Director General, ICAR, New Delhi graced as the Chief Guest and visited the stalls along with Dr S. N. Puri, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Central Agricultural University, Imphal, Manipur and interacted with the team members of ICAR, A. P. Centre, Basar.
