Training Programme cum distribution of HDPE Vermi-compost bed and earthworm conducted
KVK West Siang , 19th June, 2015.
A Training programme was conducted by the KVK West Siang at Kadi village today, the 19th June, 2015. The programme was chaired by Aruna Riba (Progressive farmer). Dr. Kangabam Suraj Singh (SMS-Plant Protection) described in detail the method and benefits of Vermi-compost. He also highlight that vermin-compost can be a means of sustaining soil fertility. Mrs. Rita Nongthombam (SMS-Plant Breeding) delivered lecture on how to produce truthfully label seed and how to use high yielding varieties to get higher yield. Dr. Anup Chandra (Scientist Entomology), Pashel Rolling Anal (Tech. Officer AGROMET) and Aryom Bam (SRF) attended the training programme. The programme was concluded with distribution of HDPE vermi- bed and earthworm (Eudrilus eugeniaeI) to the farmers.
