Awareness Programme under GKMS, ICAR A.P. Centre, Basar.

Awareness Programme under GKMS was organized to sensitize the Officers of State Line Departments and NGOs on 15th June, 2015 at conference hall, ICAR Arunachal Pradesh Centre, Basar. There were 31 participants including Zila Parisad Member, officers from District Administration, Agriculture & Horticulture Department, Veterinary, Fishery, Public Work Departments, Youth Leaders and some progressive farmers. The programme was chaired by Shri. Tago Basar, former director of Agriculture, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh and he appreciated the activities under the project giving emphasis on the sms services. During the meeting, Dr. R. Bhagawati, Joint Director, ICAR A.P. Centre Basar gave overview of the activities under the project and reiterated role of line departments in registration of more and more farmers under the service. Mr. K. Bhagawati, I/C Technical Officer briefed on the system of GKMS and role of ICAR Basar in preparation and dissemination of advisories. Progressive farmers shared their experiences and gave valuable suggestions/inputs.
