Free Veterinary Medicines distributed to Mithun farmers club Mani of Papum pare District by ICAR A.P centre, Basar
One day awareness programme on improved Livestock husbandry practices funded under PD_ADMAS was conducted in Mani Village under Doimuk circle on 7th of March2015 in collaboration by ICAR A.P Centre Basar and KVK Papum Pare. Focused group discussion was conducted with the members of Mithun farmers club. Dr.T Heli Programme Coordinator KVK, Papum Pare gave brief overview of the function of KVK and suggested the farmers to play an active part to develop a role model for other villages. Dr.Doni Jini Scientist Coordinator of the Progarmme gave lectures on the management and health aspect of Mithun and other domesticated animals like Pigs, poultry and Cattle. Dr. B. Yomgam T-3 displayed some important veterinary medicines needed for routine management of wounds and maggot infestation. After the discussion members of Mithun Framers Club were demonstrated and distributed free medicines, Vaccines, Feed supplements etc. The farmers club appreciated the attempts made by ICAR, Basar and took keen interest for future collaborative programme in the others activities .
