KVK, South Tripura organized farmers’ fair on farm mechanization on 8th March 2017
Krishi Vigyan Kndra, South Tripura organized one day “Farmers’ Fair cum Training Programme on Farm Mechanization” on 8th March 2017 at KVK, South Tripura in joint collaboration with ICAR-CIAE, Bhopal and ICAR, Tripura centre. Dr. K.K. Barman, Principal Scientist (Soil Science), ICAR, Tripura centre, Dr. Tahmankar, Senior Scientist, CIAE, Bhopal, Dr. S. K. Chakraborti, Senior Scientist, CIAE, Bhopal, Shri Diganta Das, DDM, NABARD, were the dignatories and resource persons present in the programme. In the beginning Dr. Mandira Chakraborti, Programme Coordinator, KVK, South Tripura welcomed all the dignatories and gatherings. A bunch of programmes like awareness cum training on improved farm machinaries, demonstration on tractor drawn zero till seed drill, groundnut decorticator, maize sheller etc was done by the scientist from ICAR-CIAE, Bhopal. There was an effective interaction among the farmers and resource person from CIAE, Bhopal. More than 150 farmers from Gomati and South Tripura district were participated in the training programme. Small tools like improved serrated sickles and maize sheller were distributed among the farmers.
