EDUCATION DAY
As in the previous years, this year also the Education Day was celebrated on 11th November,2014 at ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Umiam. During the programme as many as 70 nos. of students participated from different schools of Shillong and Barapani along with their officials and teachers. The days programme included a Talk on Agriculture by Dr. A. K. Tripathi, HOD Social Science followed by a Quiz Competition. The students took active participation in both the programmes. The programme concluded with a Prize distribution ceremony which was chaired by Dr. S. V. Ngachan, Director, ICAR RC, Umiam. He urged the students to focus in their studies and march forward with determination and hard work.
