ICAR RESEARCH COMPLEX FOR NEH REGION GETS A NEW DIRECTOR

 

   

Dr. Vinay Kumar Mishra took over the charge of ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, umiam, Meghalaya on the 21st of January 2021. Dr. Mishra was heading the Central soil salinity research institute, Regional Research Station, Lucknow prior to joining the institute. With his joining the institute got a new lease of life in terms of research and development. He is a scientist of global repute working in various areas of Agriculture and allied sectors; he has a knack for research and has more than 80 papers under his belt. With his deep insights and experiences he spoke few words of wisdom addressing the staff for the first time after taking over charge, he emphasized on the scope for development of research and to work together in tandem with one and all to put the institute on the global map.   He further added that we can only grow by lifting others. The key to be successful in life is to honour the hard work and contribution of all the staff and work together with one and all. As we cannot survive alone in the world neither can we be successful alone it needs a team effort to reach the set goal. The institute has the potential to reach new heights and achieve a milestone we all need to work together towards making it one of the institutes with international repute. He urged one and all to cooperate in the development of the institute and take it to a new level.
