KVK Anjaw Conducted Training On Large Cardamom
Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Anjaw conducted training programme on Integrated Disease and Pest Management in Large Cardamom on 2nd August 2017 at adopted village under “Doubling Farmers Income”(Tafraliang). Altogether 30 farmers including rural youth and women participated in the training programme.
Dr. Senpon Ngomle, Subject Matter Specialist (Plant Protection) welcomed the participants and gave a detail presentation on IDM and IPM of Large Cardamom. Presently, seeing the outbreak of viral diseases, he emphasized more on its preventive measures like selection of disease free planting materials, proper site selection, control of viral vector i.e. Aphids etc. The participants appreciated the training programme and shown a keen interest and promise to follow scientific method of cultivation and also to adopt proper management practices in order to avoid further spread of the disease
