KVK West Siang Conducted Farmers Training cum Method Demonstration
KVK West Siang conducted one day training Programme on Insect Pests and Diseases Management in Citrus on 15th June, 2016 at Old Bam Village. Dr. Kangabam Suraj Singh SMS-Plant Protection briefly explained in diseases and insect pests in Citrus. After training session he also demonstrated on preparation of Bordeaux Paste and Method of cotton swabbing for trunk borer management. He practically demonstrated method of Bordeaux Paste uses on citrus. More than 30 orange tree were applied Bordeaux Paste in citrus orchard of Mr. Jummo Bam a progressive farmer of Bam Village. There 65 numbers of rural youth, farm women, and men were participated including Mr. Mohen Bam HGB of Old Bam (Bam-1). Mr. Jumkar Bam (T-I) assisted in this training programme. All farmers were appreciated this training programme due to highly incidence of diseases and pests in their citrus orchards.
Lastly they were asking more information in terms of training, filed visit and method demonstration in their village. The programme was ended successfully with a vote of thanks to the villagers and KVK West Siang team by Mrs. Gopu Bam, ASM-Bam-I Village.
