ICAR-KVK, West Garo Hills conducted Training Programme on “Disease management and Health care of Livestock and Poultry” for farmers and farm women
ICAR- KVK, Tura, West Garo Hills conducted one awareness cum training programme on “Disease management and health care of livestock and poultry” at Bhiorakupi village under Zikzak Block of South-West Garo Hills district, Meghalaya on 21st Sept 2017. The awareness cum training programme was conducted to make the farmers and farm women aware about the different prevalent diseases of livestock and poultry. They were made aware that those diseases of livestock and poultry could be controlled with little efforts by themselves. The participants were taught about the control measures of the diseases especially regular vaccination against the prevalent diseases, deworming, supplementation of vitamin and mineral mixtures and maintenance of hygiene. A total of 71 farmers and farm women participated in the programme. After the programme medicines and vitamins were distributed among the
participants.
