Deputy Chief Minster graced the Stakeholders Capacity Building Programme on Seed Spices organized ICAR-NRCSS at KVK Namsai
KVK Namsai has been successfully organized the Capacity building programme on “ Organic Production Technology Of Seed spices for NEH region in collaboration with ICAR-NRC on Seed Spices, Tabiji, Ajmer held at KVK Premises on 22nd September, 2018.
The Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Chow C. Mein grace the occasion as chief guest along with Chow T. Mein and Chow Z. Namchoom, Hon’ble MLAs of Chowkham and Namsai constituency respectively. Hon’ble DCM highlighted the agricultural scenarios of the district and gave special emphases to the prospect of cultivation of seed spices. In his deliberation, he emphasized the importance of Farmers' Producers Company (FPC) in the present scenario and he also urged all the line department specially KVK to work as pathfinder for all the agriculture stakeholders, in the same time he also urged to all the farmers that to come forwards and adopt the new agricultural practices and technologies with the close guidance and support of KVK. He also thanks to Dr Gopal Lal, Director ICAR-NRCSS, Ajmer for conducting the worthy programme at Namsai. KVK Namsai has also distributed the Cheque to the 20 farmers of Kupatnai village from the gracious hand of Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minster, Govt. of AP Chow C. Mein
In this continuation, Hon’ble local MLA Chow T. Mein encourage the farmers by adopting the seed spices as main cash crop in their field, he also asked farmers to cultivate he seed spices in consultation with KVK scientist. he also praised the NADAP compost beneficiaries who constructed the compost pit under the Krishi Kalyan Abhiyan.
Hon’ble local MLA Chow Z. Namchoom emphasized that the modern agriculture should be on technological oriented not labour oriented and urge the farmers to shift their traditional farming practice to scientific farming for better income generation. He also praised the team KVK Namsai for restless efforts towards the benefits of the farmers.
Mrs. T. Raghav, DC Namsai describe the various govt. schemes implemented in the district and asked the farmers specially the unemployed youth to take benefits of it and engage themselves as entrepreneur in agriculture and allied sector.
Dr. G. L. Jat, Director, ICAR-NRC on Seed Spices, Ajmer, Rajasthan explained various activities performs by their institutes through power point presentation and described the importance and scope of seed spice in Arunachal Pradesh specially in Namsai district.
Initially Dr. Manish Kanwat, Senior Scientist and Head, KVK, Namsai welcomed the house and narrated the activities under going through KVK Namsai in the district and also briefed out the performance of KVK Namsai during Krishi Kalayan Abhiyan activities
In the technical session, Scientist from ICAR-NRC on Seed Spices, Ajmer imparted training on various topics related to organic production technology of seed spices for NEH region.
A total of 111 farmers were participated in the programme most of were from Farmers Producers Company.
