Awareness programme cum distribution of biopesticides and biofertilizer at FDI and MGMG adopted villages”, Organised by KVK, ICAR in collaboration with State departments, West Garo Hills, Meghalaya
One day awareness programme cum distribution of biopesticides and biofertilizer was held on two different dates on 6th and 11th December 2018 at two different adopted villages under Farmers Double Income(village: Aminda Rangsa) and Mera Gaon Mera Gaurav (village: Chengkurigre) respectively. Officials from State departments viz. Mr.M. Areng (District Agriculture Officer); Mr. M. Sangma (District Horticulture officer); Smt. Tashree Momin (Project Director ATMA) as well as officials from KVK including Senior scientist and Head (i/c) Mr. A.S. Singh and ACTO, Dr. Joyoshree Mahanta attended the awareness programme. In totality more than 100 farmers attended the awareness programme. Lectures on utilization of bioproducts was delivered both in english and local language .Farmers feed back were encouraging as they showed keen interest in using various biopesticides and biofertilizers in their field. Method demonstration on the usage of biopesticides especially Trichoderma, Pseudomonas and Bacillus as well as biofertilizer like Azotobacter, BGA etc were conducted. At the end of the programmes various biopesticides , biofertilizers including organic fertilizers were distributed to the farmers.
