Two Days District Level Training Programme by KVK West Siang
Basar, 25th Nov., 2014: A two days District Level Training Programme on “Sustainable Production and Management Strategies of Rabi Crops for Higher Income Generation” was conducted by KVK West Siang from 24th-25th Nov., 2014. The programme was participated by 40 farmers from different parts of the district. During the training programme, Shri A. Kirankumar Singh, i/c Programme Coordinator, KVK West Siang delivered powerpoint presentation on “Production and Management Strategies of True Potato Seed for Higher Production and Storage Techniques” and “Successful Production and Management Strategies of Rapeseed/Mustard for Higher Income Generation” and Shri Badapmain Makdoh, Scientist (Agronomy) delivered his lecture on “Strategic Management of Pea for Higher Income Generation Through Increased Production”. During the programme, thorough interaction between the scientists and the farmers was conducted to clarify all the doubts in their minds. Further, the seeds of Rapeseed, Pea and True Potato Seed (TPS) were also distributed to the farmers. As the True Potato Seed (TPS) is the first introduction to the farmers, they were also taking keen interest and enthusiastic to adopt the TPS. The scientists assured of technical guidance and support for any problems in the crops during the course of production.
