Farmers Club BLOTP Programme Organized at Nilang, Anjaw
An Awareness cum Orientation Training Programme of Nilang Farmers Club was conducted on 22nd of August, 2016 at Nilang Residential School, Nilang Village at Goiliang. The Programme was successfully conducted under the technical guidance of Shri. S. Peter Singh, SMS, Social Sciences Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Anjaw. Altogether 30 participants (20 club members, 10 farm women) were attended in the Orientation Training Programme. The Club was sponsored by NABARD, Itanagar and implemented under the flagship of KVK, Anjaw. The programme was initiated with the welcome addressed by Somatey Nilang, President of the club.
During his speech, he expressed his heartiest thanks to the KVK, Anjaw for their untiring support and guidance in successful formation the club. He specifically mentioned that since the inception of KVK, Anjaw, certain valuable knowledge and skills has been imparted related to agriculture and allied sciences in the district through training, awareness, demonstration etc. He also requested the youth of the district to open such type of group to create self employment opportunities and income. The group was decided to choose for poultry farming to generate income of the club.
Shri. S. Peter Singh, SMS, Social Sciences expressed his heartiest congratulation to the group member, General Administration, SBI Bank Officials for their valuable combined support in successful formation of the club. He also thanks to the General Manager, NABARD and his team for their continuous supports in formation of the said club. He highlighted the function, importance, bye-laws and principles of Farmers Club. He also discussed with the club member regarding the agriculture related activities which can be done and suggested the members to choose for the enterprises which can be converted into monetary terms within a short period of time. Lastly, he requested to all the members of the club to join hands and work together for uplifting the socio-economic status of the village. In this continuation, Shri. Keshab Chandra Gogoi, Computer Programmer, KVK, Anjaw has also distributed the Android Mobile Apps to the presented farmers phone for getting instant information and advisories about their crops, livestock, Plant Protection etc.
