Awareness Programme on Hand Hygiene for Animal Farmers
A one day awareness programme on hand hygiene was organized on 26th February, 2021 by Division of Animal and Fisheries Sciences, ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region. A total number of 50 animal farmers attended and benefitted from the programme. Dr K.K. Baruah, Head, Division of Animal and Fisheries sciences graced the event with a sensitization talk. An awareness lecture on “Importance of hand hygiene” was delivered by Dr S. Ghatak, Principal Scientist. Hand washing using WHO technique was demonstrated to the attendees. In addition, 50 numbers of “Hand hygiene kit” was distributed to the animal farm workers. The programme was also attended by Dr S. Doley, Dr S. Deori and Dr G. Kharguria. The entire programme was organized and coordinated by Dr A.A.P. Milton and Dr Samir Das. All other staff of Division of Animal and Fisheries sciences also participated enthusiastically. The programme was funded by ST Component (previously TSP).
