KVK West Siang Conducts Farmers Training at Nyodu Village Basar 26th August, 2016
KVK West Siang conducted one day training programme on important diseases and pests management in potato on 26th August, 2016 at Nyodu village. Dr. Kangabam Suraj Singh SMS-Plant Protection briefly explained about the important diseases and pests management in potato through physical, mechanical, biological and chemical methods. In this training programme Dr. Moloy Sarmah Baruah, ACTO Animal Science, delivered a lecture on skill up-gradation techniques for pig farmers. He also highlighted the importance of pre and post monsoon vaccination for livestock and poultry. At the end of session, Miss. Wangnem Rekhnung, Programme Assistant Soil Science gave a brief lecture on Soil Sampling Method and demonstrated soil sampling technique to the farmers. All together 42 numbers of rural youth, farm women, and men of Nyodu village participated in the said training.
All farmers appreciated this training and demonstration programme. Finally the programme was concluded successfully with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Lipu Nyodu gram chairperson of Nyodu Village.
