44th Foundation day celebration of ICAR Research Complex for N.E.H. Region at Mizoram Centre, Kolasib
ICAR Research Complex for N.E.H. Region Mizoram Centre, Kolasib celebrated the 44th foundation day of the institute on 9th January, 2019.
Dr. I. Shakuntala, Joint Director, ICAR Research Complex for N.E.H. Region Mizoram Centre in her welcome address briefed about the institute, its activities and output. She added on the importance of cooperation among different stakeholders in bringing the state to self reliable in food production and the responsibilities that ICAR have for achieving this goal.
Pu Dr. C. Lalmuankima, Principal, Kolasib college was the guest speaker for foundation day lecture on “Work ethics in office”. He also applauded the contribution of ICAR in uplifting the farming communities in the state.
Dr. Michelle Lallawmkini, Senior Scientist and Head, KVK, Kolasib, Pu J.D. Traite, ADM, NABARD and Pi Lalbiakdiki, President, Women Farmers Club, Kawnpui also graced the occasion. All the invitees appreciated the efforts of institute in addressing the problems of farming communities and for appropriate technological intervention from time to time.
On this occasion the ex-staff of the centre who got retired last year and the best Workers were felicitated. The event was attended by all the staff of the centre, farmers group and students.
