22nd Scientific Advisory Committee Meeting of Kvk, West Garo Hills, Tura.
The 22nd Scientific Advisory Committee Meeting was held on 6th March, 2018 at Training hall KVK, West Garo Hills and it was chaired by Dr. Bidyut C. Deka, Director Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute (ATARI), ZONE VII, ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Meghalaya. Members of various line departments of West Garo Hills district and progressive farmers from different villages attended the meeting. In the meeting all the scientific staff including senior scientist and head in charge was also present. The meeting started with the welcome speech by Shri. A.S Singh, Senior Scientist and Head (I/C) followed by brief introduction of the activities of ATARI as well as KVK by Honourable Chairman. After felicitation of the chief guest, officers from the line departments introduce themselves to the house. Main agenda of the meeting started with the presentation of action taken report of last SAC meeting, followed by annual progress report (2017-18) and annual action plan (2018-19). The members of the committee including the chairman reviewed and discussed the progress report as well as annual action plan and also provided valuable suggestions. The meeting ended with the vote of thanks by Dr. Joyoshree Mahanta.
