Agriculture Department, Anjaw District Arranged Awareness Campaign on Various Agricultural and Allied Activities

 

A one day training programme was organized by Department of Agriculture Anjaw District at Teepani Village, Chaglongam C.D. Block under ATMA on 13th September 2017. Altogether 250 farmers including dignitaries attended the programme. The programme was graced by Hon’ble MLA & Chairperson APMDTCL Smt. Dasanglu Pul as a Chief Guest, Deputy Commissioner Smt. M. Riba as Chairman, Sri Kego Jillen ADC Hayuliang as guest of honour, Sri Soney Manyu,  President District BJP unit, Smt. Mailu Tega Mahila mandal, Sri Khelosa Taylo ZPM Chaglongam, Sri Chunu Tindya, Anchal Samity Chairperson and other ASM’s, GPC’s and GPM’s of respective segments, Dr. Subodh Panwar Sr. Manager SB and Resource Persons from ICAR KVK Anjaw Dr. Senpon Ngomle, SMS P.P, Ms. Rebecca Eko, SMS Horti. attended the programme. The programme started with the welcome address by Mr. Mark Boje Dy. Director of Agriculture. He welcomed all the dignitaries by felicitating them with local handloom products and also expressed gratefulness to all the dignitaries.  

Resource persons from ICAR KVK Anjaw Dr. Senpon Ngomle, SMS gave detail information about the KVK activities and aware the farmers about the viral infection i.e. foorkey and chirkey leading to declining large cardamom orchard. Later, Ms. Rebecca Eko, SMS gave a detail power point presentation on nursery raising of Large Cardamom & its management, to mitigate & control the viral infestation and also encourage the farmers to adopt it as an alternative means of income generation. Sri S. Bhattacharjee, ADO explained the house about the activities & achievements of ATMA.

Dr. Subodh Panwar, Sr. Manager Sheel Biotech Ltd service provider, Anjaw MOVCD spoke on the occasion and explained the activities of MOVCD schemes taken up. He informed the house that registration of Anjaw MOVCD under large cardamom in Chipru-Roiliang-Doringko (Chi-roi-dor) FPC is completed and getting the certificate soon. He congratulated also Sri Dangrishaso Kathak who have been selected as the chairman of Chi-roi-dor FPC and also illustrated the activities of FPC.

Smt. Mamta Riba, DC, Anjaw Cum Chairman ATMA, MOVCD expressed her thanks to the department of Agriculture for organizing such programmes for farming community. She persuade the farmers to use and update themselves about the latest agricultural technologies and information regarding the price rate of different commodities at national level by using different websites such as E-mandi, Spice board, Kisan portal, etc. She also urged all the Agri. & allied departments to put their best efforts to uplift the farmer’s socio- economic condition, thus doubling their income by 2022.

Hon’ble MLA 45 (HLG) Cum Member Chairperson APMDTCL Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh Smt. Dansanglu Pul, also spoke on the occasion and appealed farmers to avail all Govt. benefits and schemes, stressed upon CM’s Krishi Rinn Yojana  effective implementation.

Sri Kego Jillen, ADC Hayuliang and Sri Soney Manyu, President District BJP unit also spoke on the occasion. The programme came to end with vote of talents by Sri Chunu Tindya Anchal Samity Chairperson, Chaglongam followed by community feast.
