A female dog (Labrador cross) was brought in KVK Anjaw, by retired army personal with a request for permanent birth control of his dog. Technically for surgical birth control in female dog is called spaying. Spaying is a surgical method in which ovaries along with uterus or portion of uterus and horn is removed for the purposes of birth control. However it also aid in health benefit and behavioral modification of female dog. So far KVK office is running without its own infrastructure, near ADC office, Hayuliang in two room allotted by ADC. It was not possible to operate in KVK office, as surgical method of birth control in female dog is almost similar with human birth control procedure with slight difference in few steps. So under the dart of infrastructure, as a collaborative mode using state veterinary dispensary infrastructure and Doctor (SMS-Animal Science) from KVK Anjaw, as a technical man power. Operation was successfully done for the first time in Anjaw district, so far spaying in dog was not performed by any vets due to dart of medicine and other lacuna.
