North East Zone Regional Agriculture Fair 2017-18
ICAR Research complex for NEH Region, Umiam, Meghalaya is going to organize the north Eastern Zone Regional Agriculture Fair, 2017-18 sponsored by Deptt. of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare under Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare, Govt. of India during January 06-09, 2018. The fair has been contemplated with a focal theme of “Drive to doubling income of tribal farmers in North East India.”
Hoping this North Eastern Zone RAF, 2017-18 would provide an ideal and momentous platform for large number of stakeholders from wide spectrum of organizations not only from North Eastern region but also from other parts of the country ensuring a perfect balance among public and private domain to cover the emerging issues, showcasing your technologies/ achievements/products relevant to the theme of the RAF in agriculture and allied sectors. Agril. Exhibition, Crop Seminar, Kisan Gosthi, Farmers- Scientists’ interface, Video Shows and evening Cultural Shows are the main attractions of RAF.
Each day expected participation of around 500 farmers, 100 agri. Entrepreneurs, many delegates, researchers, developmental experts, extensional professionals from different parts of North Eastern states. There would be around 62 stall to participate from stakeholder like (Farmers, NGO’s SHG’s) food processing units, KVK’s and other Regional centre.
On the 9th January, 2018 which is also the foundation day of the institute there will be also an award distribution to the distinctive staff of the institute.
