Training programme conducted by KVK Anjaw on “The package of practices for Large Cardamom"

 

A one day training programme on “The Package of Practices for Large Cardamom” was conducted by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Anjaw on 27th September’2015 at Goiliang circle in Anjaw district. Altogether, 30 farmers (both men and women) attended the training programme. The main objective of the training was to impart proper knowledge on scientific cultivation of large cardamom and to aware the farmers of the deadly viral diseases “Chirkey and Foorkey”.

Ms Rebecca Eko, Subject Matter Specialist (Horticulture), coordinator of the training programme delivered her lecture in details through a power point presentation and audio-visual clipping. She encouraged the farmers to adopt this practice to increase their production and emphasized on procurement of quality planting materials from reputed nurseries.

Subject Matter Specialist Mr. S. P Singh (Social Sciences), Mr. Senpon Ngomle (Plant Protection) and Mr. Prasanta Mahanta (Farm Manager) also spoke about their respective field of specialization.
