Training Organized and Input Distribution under Krishi Kalyan Abhiyan at Namsai District

 

Training cum input distribution programme was organized by KVK, Namsai district in presence with allline departmant on 23.06.2018 at Gunanagar-II village of Chongkham circle. The Hon’ble MLA & Parliamentary Secretary Chow Tewa Mein ( Environment and Forest) Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Dr. K. Manoharan, Director, Jute Development, Govt. of India, Kolkota attended in the programme as Guest of Honour and Sri. R.K.Sharma, Deputy Commissioner, Namsai graced the occasion as special guest. A group of distinguish guests DDM, NABARD, Itanagar Mr. Kamal Roy with all district officers and officials participated in the programme.

In his speech, the Hon’ble local MLA Chow Tewa Mein encourage the farmers to involve in the agricultural activities by telling the success stories of other states and asked the farmers to involve fully in agricultural activity by taking the benefits of governments schemes. He also described the short term and long term agricultural practices for efficient income generation round the year. He further emphasized that modern agriculture should be on technological oriented not labour oriented. He also praised the team KVK Namsai for restless efforts towards the benefits of the farmers.

Dr.K. Manoharan, Director,Directorate of Jute & Development, Kolkotta explained the various activities performs by government for benefits of the farmers. Sri. R. K. Sharma D.C. Namsai, narrated all schemes implemented by agriculture and allied departments in the district. He also urged the farmers to come forward to take the opportunities offers by the governments. Dr.Kamal Roy, AGM, NABARD, Itanagar also spoke in the occasion and briefed about the different projects and central and state govt. sponsored scheme particularly for agriculture based funded by NABARD. He gave emphases on creation of producers organization and asked KVK to take initiative.

Initially Dr. Manish Kanwat, Senior Scientist and Head, KVK, Namsai welcomed the house and narrated the Krishi Kalyan Abhiyan and the role and responsibilities of KVK in respect with doubling farmers income by 2022.

Subject Matters Specialist of KVK, Namsai imperted training and discussed with the farmers with different topics of their interest including Micro irrigation, Vermicompost preparation, Bee keeping, mushroom production etc and also demonstrated agricultural implements. The officers of respective departments were also narrated their ongoing projects and asked farmers to take benefits of it.

As a part of the programme, Sayabean seeds and sprayer were also distributed to 76 beneficiaries out of 114 beneficiaries participated in the programme by Department of agriculture, Namsai.
