KVK Anjaw conducted Training Programme

 

Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Anjaw conducted training programme on Integrated Disease and Pest Management in Citrus on 27th November 2016 at Tambru. Altogether 32 farmers including rural youth and women participated in the training programme.

Mr. Senpon Ngomle, Subject Matter Specialist (Plant Protection) welcomed the participants and give a detail presentation on IDM and IPM of citrus. He also requested the farmers to share their crop related queries. He heard the problems faced by them in citrus and fruit crops. He emphasised upon the importance of incorporating the integrated disease and pest management strategy and explained them various care and management practices, they should adopt in fruit crops throughout the year for the control of important disease and pests for obtaining optimum yield.

Miss Rebecca Eko also spoke about her respective field of specialization and the programme was followed by soil drenching of dichlrovus in trunk borer infected trees.
