Training on scientific Piggery Production with theme “Nutritional security and Livelihood of Tribal Farmers through Improved Piggery” under Tribal Sub Plan was held at Paya Village.

 

KVK Anjaw, under Tribal Sub-plan project (TSP), conducted five days Training on scientific management on piggery production for livelihood improvements of tribal farmers at Paya, Middle School, from 6thto 10th June 2016. On the first day Mr. S. Peter Singh, Programme Coordinator (I/c) KVK, Anjaw delivered the welcome adress followed by introduction round of participants, Altogether 25 tribal farmers had attended the training. In the second half he delivered, lecture on the topic role of extension personal in society for shaping up of rural livelihood improvement through piggery production.

Dr. Tilling Tayo, SMS-Animal Science, KVK Anjaw, on second day, delivered a lecture on piglet care and its management till reproductive stage of sow and boar. In second half regarding nutrition aspect viz, ration formulation, balance diet computation with the locally available feed staff were thoroughly thought.

On 3rd day disease management aspect on piggery production was detail discussed to mitigate the economic loss due to mortality and morbidity of piglets.

4th day of training was kept to review and recapitulate the last three days training and other related farmers quarry regarding piggery production.

On the 5th day of training programme Animal Health camp was organized to diagnose and treat the disease animal. As many as 47 Animal were dewormed and treated for various disease and deficiency based on sign and symptom of animal. At the conclusion of the fifth days of training programme, the village Gao Bura, Sotey yun delivered the vote of thanks appreciating the KVK, Anjaw for oragnizing training programme and Animal health camp.
