KVK West Siang diagnoses another insect-pest attack in farmers Field & cures it

 

A day after diagnosing and suggesting control measures for the early blight, leaf spot and scab diseases of potato and micronutrient deficiency in cauliflower in Regi village of Basar circle in West Siang District of Arunachal Pradesh, the plant protection scientist of KVK  West Siang Dr. K.  Suraj Singh has diagnosed another attack of leaf eating beetle (Eurydema nymph and Flea beetle) in the Chirnei village on 22nd January. The infestation in Lai patta and Rapeseed field was noticed during the field visits of zero tillage cultivation of rapeseed and other vegetables. Mr. Kirya Basar the farmer had sown Rapeseed variety TS-38  just after burning the paddy stalk and was worried about his infested crop. Dr. Suraj suggested appropriate bio-pesticides for controlling the insect attack. The diagnostic visit was a part of massive campaign started by the KVK for taking care the crops of area farmers.
