Training conducted by KVK West Siang
The one day training programme on “Use of improved high yielding varieties of upland rice varieties to get higher yield and Seed production in rice.” organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra West Siang, sponsored by ATMA was conducted today the 28th Jan.’2015 at Lipu Namchi Village. Smt. Rita Nongthombam, SMS (PB) delivered a lecture on use of improved high yielding upland rice varieties with power point and also discussed in detail how to conduct seed production on various crops. Dr. Anup Chandra (Scientist Ento) delivered lecture on how to control insect pest on rice crop, also highlight about the method and uses of vermin-compost. Shri. Jitendra Kumar (Scientist Soil Sc.) interacted with the farmers about the different soil types and advised the farmers what to grow depending on the type of soil so as to get maximum benefit from their field. The programme was ended by Scientist Farmer interaction.
