Training of Local Fabricators on Fabrication of Cono Weeder
Training of Local Fabricators on Fabrication of Cono Weeder was organized from 19th to 25th August 2018 at the Division of Agricultural Engineering, ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Umiam, Meghalaya. The training was funded by Department of Agriculture, Government of Meghalaya. 13 fabricators from different parts of Meghalaya attended the training. These local fabricators include Shri. Pynshngain Shabong, Shri. Hailansingh Syiem, Shri. Blue Marbaniang, Shri. Richard Myrthong, Shri. Marshall Wahlang, Shri. Arlangki Nongrum, Shri. Kyrshanbor rani, Shri. Benedik Nongpoh, Shri. Julian Marwein, Shri. Rapborlang Rani, Shri. Pynphriang Teron, Shri. Batshanbor Marwein and Shri. Bonifast Nongpoh. The cono weeder fabricated by the 13 local fabricators were tested in the paddy field. On 25th August 2018, valedictory function was held. In that ceremony, certificates were distributed to fabricators who successfully fabricated cono weeder. Cono Weeder which were fabricated by the trainees were given to them.
