Drawing competition organized by KVK, Tura for school children: Swachhta Pakhwada- 2016 celebrated.

 

A drawing competition on the theme “Cleanliness” was organized by KVK, ICAR, at Sunbeam School, Tura on 2nd November, 2016  as a part of celebration of Swachhta Pakhwada 2016. A total number of 136 students from class I to IV of the school participated in the competition. The drawing competition was organized to create awareness among the school children to keep their surroundings clean and free from any pollution hazards. Dr. Tanmay Samajdar, Programme Coordinator, KVK, ICAR, Tura briefed about the aims and objectives of Swachhta Pakhwada and emphasized to implement cleanliness drive in schools, cities, houses etc. Smt. Sadhna Chhetri, Head Mistress of Sunbeam School, Tura also explained the importance of making every nook and corner of our localities clean and tidy. The students with the best drawing were awarded with trophies, which were handed over to them by the Programme Coordinator and the Head Mistress. All the participating students were awarded with consolation prizes. The name of the students who were awarded are – Class I ( 1st Rime Dalu, 2nd Aryan N. Sangma and 3rd Arbison Naorem) Class II (1st Cheabath A. Marak, 2nd Disha Rani Hajong, and 3rd Sreejoy Bhattacharjee), Class III (1st Shreyans Samajdar, 2nd Neharika Jhakur, and 3rd Ankita Sutradhar), Class IV (1st Tengkamchi G. Sangma, 2nd Swarna Sutradhar, and 3rd Parpush Raj Poddar). The programme ended with a vote of thanks .
